Another one of my old bands. We were loud. And awesome.

From Earth To Ashes - two songs
From Earth To Ashes was like a metalcore indie mashup of sorts. These last two songs are a good example of that. Members of this band went on to be in Scarlet, Spitfire, Apocalypse Pow, and others. I always felt that this band should have been way bigger than they were.

Death Virginia - Dear Brothers
I don't really know much about this band. I know that they were from Morgantown, WV. I also know that they're not together anymore. I also know that they were underrated as fuck. Death Virginia played awesome, noisy hardcore in the vein of bands like Spitfire, The Handshake Murders, etc. Check this out if you're into that sort of thing.

Algebra One - Earn Your Halo/The Keep Tryst EP/Conscious Pilot
Algebra One was from Blacksburg, VA but they played here so much that they might have well been a local band. They played shows from the mid 90's to sometime around 2000 or 2001. I'm not exactly sure when they broke up. Anyway, I have a special connection with Earn Your Halo as it was one of the few things that I was listening to while I was dealing with one of the toughest things to ever happen to me. Music definitely helped me through this certain tragedy and this record was a part of that. The following releases didn't have as much of a personal connection but I still listened to them repeatedly and I still put them on from time to time to this day.

Renee Heartfelt - Death Of The Ghost/Magdalene
This band was so underrated that it should be considered a fucking crime. Featuring ex-members of Count Me Out, Time Flies, Striking Distance, etc., Renee Heartfelt were more along the lines of post-hardcore. The majority of the band went on to the equally great Cloak/Dagger and vocalist/guitarist Pete Appleby is now in Memorial, who are also equally great and underrated. Check them out if they ever play in your town.

Count Me Out - Permanent
This record was released in April of 2002 and very few hardcore records have ever come close to matching the greatness of this record. This is one of the best releases to ever come out of Richmond and out of the hardcore scene in general. Although they saw a bit of success, the fact that this band wasn't bigger than they were still blows my mind.

The Human Timebomb - This Is The Human Timebomb
This was another band that I was in several years ago. There never was an official breakup. Things just stopped. We played 12 shows and released a limited ep on McCarthyism in the short time that we were active. Lambgoat kids loved our mix of tech metal and random experimentation. If Lambgoat approves, then you know that...well, it doesn't really mean shit. Regardless, I still stand by this.
